The Dépôt d'Argonne tableware, produced exclusively by Kom Amsterdam, is inspired by old French motifs from the 1930s to the 1950s. Nearly every French home possessed a colorful collection of bowls at that time. These were used daily at breakfast for café au lait, in which a piece of baguette was dipped. Nearly every French region had its own factories where this earthenware was produced in countless variations.
