The materials used are of excellent quality. The blade is 2 mm thick, resistant to bending, and made of stainless steel. The comfortable handle is made of acrylic (PMMA), a strong synthetic material. The color will not wear off because it is applied throughout the handle.
The stainless steel blade of the carving knife is serrated and ideal for slicing tenderloin, Chateaubriand, roast beef, leg of lamb, and turkey. The sharp blade is also excellent for slicing baguettes and other bread. The knife is made entirely in Italy and is dishwasher safe.

Technical information handle:
PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) is a thermoplastic resin, better known as acrylic. This strong resin can be easily molded into various shapes when heated.
Technical information blade:
AISI 420 is a strong stainless steel to which carbon has been added in addition to chromium. This steel is less easily bent and is very suitable for knife making. Heat treatment hardens this steel (HRC52/56), which means the cutting edge is less likely to be damaged and stays sharper for longer. It is also highly resistant to rust formation.
HRC52/56 is the standard used to indicate the hardness of steel. This type of steel is less susceptible to breaking and rust formation.
